Pascal never died. I found Free Pascal and Lazarus. This combo is like Delphi in that you can use a RAD system to make your apps. I used Turbo Pascal since the old PC days and I miss that all in one environment to make programs. I am looking to do web development or mobile but this combo will let me if I choose. It is cross platform so I don't get stuck on Windows or Mac. I can have one code base for Windows, Mac and Linux

When making a GUI app you need something very simple and easy to use. If you are making a quick and dirty app this is one of the fastest ways to get there.
